Here's a great conundrum sent to me by
Steve Swartz. Quiz: This is a true story -- can you guess the answer?
My wife, Barbara, and I left on a flight to New Orleans on June 9, from Baltimore Washington International
airport. Halfway through the flight I took these photos. Barbara was reading her book and then looked up. No one
else was on the plane, so I went to the cockpit and no one was there either! This is not staged. Here are pictures
that document this true story. What could have happened?

D. The flight stopped at St. Louis on the way to New Orleans. We were the
only ones who stayed on that aircraft at St Louis. The rest of the people, including the aircrew, left.
There was a crew attendent who gave me permission to photograph the cockpit, but then he left. |
