GSG, GS Type DC to 20 GHz

Withwave Coaxial-to-Planar T-Probe™ - RF Cafe

Mr. Richard Song, a very friendly fellow I knew when he worked for a different company, wrote to me recently saying he was now the Marketing Director for South Korean RF and microwave product company Withwave, Inc. Withwave's offerings are similar to what he had been working on, so the move was a natural transition. Withwave's product line is primarily coaxial connectors, adapters, terminations, attenuators, cable assemblies, and accessories for test applications. One item in particular really interested me: the coaxial-to-planar T-Probe™.

Per Withwave's website:

Withwave T-Probe - RF Cafe"Withwave's T-Probe is coaxial probe that offers one signal pin on center and several fixed pitch ground contact with low inductance.

This probe provides excellent electrical performance for applications having test point with adjacent grounds.

This probe has various pitch range of 0.8/1.5/2.5 mm from signal to ground contact and is produced by precision manufacturing process.

It is available for signal probing test in these applications such as RF & MW module signal insertion/ output measurement, high speed digital & high freq. circuit board analysis.

Richard Song (Withwave) and Kirt & Melanie Blattenberger (RF Cafe) at IMS 2009 in Boston - RF CafeFeatures

- DC to 20 GHz bandwidth

- Low insertion and return loss

- GSG, GS configuration (0.8/1.5/2.5 mm pitch range)

Advantage

 - Easy for signal probing test without any soldering process on circuit board

 - Compliant pogo pins allows probing of non-planar structures, wall of module & other obstructions

 - Robust pins with repeatbility provide longer probing life time and reduce pin damage from circuit board"
